"I have an erase in my head."
Is it possible for human to have an eraser in his/her head? Literally speaking,it is impossible. But in this movie, A Moment To Remember by John Lee, the main character Su-Jin describes Alzheimer's disease as "an eraser in her head." She does not want to lose her memory for the reason that she is also afraid to lose everything, including Cheol-Su, the man that she loves the most.
Su-Jin and Cheol-Su meet in Family Mart, a convenience store where Su-Jin drinks Cheol-Su's cola not knowing that it is not the one that she left in the counter. Until they meet again in a street fast food chain where Cheol-Su offers her to drink with a challenge that it will determine if they will become friends. As days pass, they become sweet like couples and they become involve in a relationship. But tests are always present and just waiting for them. Su-Jin discovers that she has this so-called "Alzheimer's disease" which will cause her to slowly lose her memory. The disease is also fatal and Su-Jin is afraid that if memory disappears, love may also disappear. The couple shows their strength. They do not want to give up. They want a fresh start each everyday. Until Su-Jin left. She does not want her husband to suffer because of her. But Cheol-Su shows how he truly loves Su-Jin. He keeps on finding ways how to be with Su-Jin again. He doesn't quit. Until he discovers that Su-Jin is in a hospital. Just what they want before , to have a
new start, Cheol-Su brings Su-Jin in Family Mart. At that moment, Su-Jin's memory begins to come back.
They say love conquers all. And just what a song says, "I have fallen in love with the same woman three times", that is very possible and the couple proves it. Everything seems a new day for them to write their love story. Their love story has no ending, because true love has no ending and everyday is a moment to remember.
